Washington DC
My younger sibling lives in the Washington, D.C. area, so I’ve had the chance to visit many times. On a recent trip, she took us to explore some of the Capitol’s memorials. I was able to capture intimate moments at the Vietnam and Korean War memorials, as well as people enjoying the cool waters of the World War II memorial. Each site offered its own unique atmosphere and stories. My favorite, though, is the memorial to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He is beautifully preserved in bronze, forever greeting his many visitors, and his presence adds a profound sense of history and reflection to the experience.
